Baby shows daddy new tricks - written by Brian

We have passed the 100 day marker and are getting more excited every day to add Jordan to our lives. Last night we were cuddling on the couch and I FINALLY, FINALLY got to feel Jordan rockin and rollin! For a while Drisana had been telling me that Jordan was really active and that she could feel Jordan moving and even see it happen.
Well a couple of weeks ago I saw Drisana's stomach move but whenever I touched her tummy, Jordan stopped moving.
Finally last night, little Jordan showed me how strong she is! She pushed on Drisana's tummy and made my whole arm move!!! It was amazing. In total I felt our baby girl move 5 times, each one making me super happy!

The strongest of her movements felt like one of those wierd massage chairs that you put over your existing chair, where it feels like kneeding. It was suprisingly strong and a little frightning but I loved it so so much!

Hopefully she will continue to move for me because it is freakin awesome! And maybe soon Drisana will let me play Tech N9ne and Eminem for little Jordan.

Bye Bye for now.

Countdown...

Yea! On Monday 4/27 we will have 99 days to go until Jordan Elaine's estimated due date! Hooray for double digits! We've made it so far and everything is going well I hope it stays that way. Please keep us in your thoughts!

In the mean time, I'd like to share with you my most recent crisis. (I'm exaggerating...) I went shopping for pants last week and tried on a pair of capri pants since the weather is getting so warm lately. Well I looked in the mirror and freaked out because I didn't have ankles anymore! My feet and ankles have started to swell which is really...ummm, icky looking. I don't know how else to describe it. So I had a one day freak out and asked every woman I knew that has had children if my ankles will come back after I have the baby. They assured me that yes they will, so I felt a lot better. But still really self-conscious about it. Anyways, here are pictures of swollen and non-swollen feet/ankles. HUGE difference!

Anyways, I go to the doctor on Thursday for my Glucose Testing, so I hope that goes well. I'm not looking forward to drinking liquid sugar, which seems strange since all I crave anymore is sweets. I will let you know how that goes.

PS: Brian and I went to the North Bend Outlet Mall today and bought way to many clothes for Jordan. I mean, she'll totally wear them all, but we need to stop spending until after any baby showers we have. I'm hoping people will gift Jordan with items on the baby registries since those are some items that we really need.

24 Week Update

Wow - a lot has happened the last couple of weeks! I don't even know where to start...

At my 20 week ultra sound when we found out we were having a girl, they also saw some sort of blockage in her bowels. The doctor told us not to worry, that she had seen it in a few of her patients and it turned out to be nothing. But she did want to keep an eye on it, so she scheduled me for another ultra sound this past monday. Well everything looked great and the blockage appears to be completely gone so that was great news and very relieving!! We also got some new photos of our daughter and she is so beautiful already!
Another piece of wonderful news is that Brian and I found an apartment to live in starting May 16th. It is in the Canyon Park area and it will be just perfect to start our family! It will be nice to finally start setting up the nursery and getting ready to bring Jordan Elaine home. Oh yeah...we picked a name! Isn't it perfect!
I also recently foud out that 2 more of my cousins are having babies this year. My cousin David and his wife had their son in May, my cousin Tanna is due for a girl on May 1st, I'm due August 4th, my cousin Julie is due in Oct and Lanna is due in Nov. My grandma will have 5 great grandchildren in 2009! It is the year for babies!!
Thats all for now! I'm sure in the next month as things progress we will have more updates. Thanks for visiting!

It moved again!

My stomach was visibly rockin and rollin last night and Brian finally got to see it happen! I got the idea to set a small object on my stomach so Brian could watch for that to move rather than scanning my large surface of a stomach. And well, it WORKED! Yeeeeaaaaaa!!

We bought a baby item last night at Target. A Classic Pooh diaper bag. We saw it at Target in Factoria on Tuesday and wanted to add it to our registry online, but apparently it is only in stores. So instead of going to the counter, getting a scanning gun, walking to the baby section, scanning the diaper bag, taking the scan gun back to the counter....we just bought it!

I was also notified from Babies 'R' Us that Brian's diaper bag has been discontinued so we're going to go buy it in the store since it is expensive to buy it online after taxes and shipping.

Anywhos...thats about it! I have another ultra-sound on Monday 4/13 so if I get any pictures I will post them.

Ta Ta for now!

There's something in there!

So last night I was laying in bed reading and all of a sudden I felt our daughter kick higher than she usually does. So I lifted up my book and started staring at my belly. Then I saw my belly move on the left! I was so shocked I wasn't sure if I was hallucinating, then it happened again on the right!

I got Brian to come upstairs and we sat and stared at my tummy for 10 more minutes. I saw it happen a couple more times but sadly Brian didn't see it yet.

Brian is getting very anxious to feel the baby kick and see my tummy move, so this is proof that we're getting closer to him feeling the baby! Yea!!

Have a great Monday and rest of the week everyone!
